“Brian Topp is the right leader at the right time for our party. His vision of a more equal Canada will mean new investments in the people, skills, and knowledge that we need to secure our economic future…”

Carole James

MLA, Former Leader of the BCNDP

“I believe Brian Topp has the qualities that matter most. He has the political and intellectual substance we need to meet today’s challenges. He has the qualities of character Canadians require in a Prime Minister. He is ready now. He is ready to take on Stephen Harper and provide a progressive government for our wonderful country.”

Ed Broadbent

Former Leader of the NDP

Brian has the national experience necessary to lead the NDP. Brian is not only fluent in both official languages, he is at home In Quebec and throughout the country. He understands Canada and he understands Quebec. That's the key to building our party and winning the next election.

Françoise Boivin

MP for Gatineau

“Brian is an enormously capable person who has what it takes to lead the NDP to victory,”

Judy Wasylycia-Leis

Former MP for Winnipeg-North

If we are going to become the government of Canada, and make our vision reality, we are going to need to keep our gains and support in the province of Quebec. We know that. Brian can do that. He was born in Quebec. He was raised in Quebec. He got his start in politics in Quebec building the New Democratic Party. He is fluently bilingual. Brian knows how to win in Quebec and that is an asset absolutely necessary in our next leader. But winning in Quebec is not enough to get the job done. We must also win here in Saskatchewan and across the country. Brian can do that too.

Lorne Calvert

Former Premier of Saskatchewan

“The NDP must present a national governing alternative that speaks to Canadians in every part of the country. I worked closely with Brian and I know that he has the right combination of skills and experience to get the job done. He is disciplined, principled and is deeply committed to a better future for every Canadian.”

Roy Romanow

Former Premier of Saskatchewan

I have carefully followed the debates as well as the race in general. After serious reflection, I decided to switch my support to Brian Topp. I have truly appreciated his determination to put forward progressive values. Like Brian, I believe that we should tackle the growing inequality in our society. And we start doing this by putting an end to an unfair tax system that offers billions in giveaways to the people who need it the least. Among the candidates, I believe that Brian is best placed to defeat Harper and put in place a progressive government.
